Yay, Middlebury and Bates rejected the sh** out of me. It's funny, because they use the nicest language when what they reall mean "We just don't think your a good as these other kickass students with better GPAs and more money, so we don't want you."

It's like they pat you on the back as they're urinating down their leg.

This is partially my fault, I didn't really strive for the grades I was capable of getting during high school. Well..... I have on college left, UMASS Amherst. Everyone is pretty certain I'll get in there. If I don't, f*** it. I'll take some NECC courses, get a job (preferably at Chin Chin), and work hard at both so I can apply again as a smarter, more prapared, and better qualified student. I refuse to give up. I am not the kid everyone thought they knew last Year. Still the same in many ways but now I'm straight-edge and determined to work hard to reach my goals.

My goal is simple. Learn many foreign languages, study international affairs, work as a translator or diplomat.

I don't want fame, fortune, or any of that bull. All I want is a meaningful job, a simple, not to frilly life, to co-exist with mother earth as much as possble, and to have the ones I love by my side.

This will be last post on DA until my return home. No new journals, comments, notes, or deviations. I am vowing to use these last three monthes to study even harder.
